Lou Jones is one of Boston's top art and commercial photographers. He has exhibited in galleries throughout the United States including the Corcoran, Washington, D.C.; the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; the Cooper Hewitt Museum, New York City; and the Museum of Afro American Art, Boston. His images have appeared in Time, Newsweek, National Geographic, and Esquire. His career has take him to guerrilla territory in El Salvador, eight Olympics, Europe, South America, Africa, Japan and most of the United States. Early influences were Ernst Haas, Jay Maisel, Pete Turner, Robert Frank, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Eugene Atget, André Kertész and August Sanders. In 1996, Jones published Final Exposure, Portraits From Death Row, his book of images and ideas based on visits with twenty-seven condemned inmates in eleven states over six years.
